| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Tuesday at 10 AM Pacific Time on VoiceAmerica Health and Wellness Channel | | | | | | | | Autism Today with Dr. Pat May 8, 2012 We will continue our discussion on the learning style differences in ASD and the importance of Executive Function skills. Last week, we asked the question, "Do our children with autism spectrum disorders demonstrate the learning style and ability to maintain focus in order to make and execute a mental plan in logical, sequential manner until completion?" We discussed how this type of skill set is particularly important in school as we attempt to promote the student's ability to independently complete tasks, routines, assignments and homework in the classroom. My co-hosts, two highly experienced teachers in ASD, will provide practical additional guidelines and strategies that they use to assist their students with the development of executive function skills in order to independently complete assigned work.
