We cut our son's hair in front of the TV with one of his favorite
videos on. It helps him to stay reasonably calm and still. We do it as
fast as we possibly can - we definitely go for speed over accuracy!
One of our HAB workers has been helping us cut his hair lately - he
does it a lot faster than my husband does so its not as hard for Josh
to sit thru. You could also talk to your HAB team about ways to get
him used to it, a reward program, etc. Maybe he just sits and you hold
the scissors (or clippers) near him and he gets a reward for the first
time. Next time maybe you try cutting around the ears, etc. Good luck
- nothings easy with our kiddos!!
